Personality
Josephine is a pleasure to have around. She’s gentle with her touch, likes to be in the company of people, and she has way of reading your emotions with refined ease.
Why She's in the Program
Josephine, while now retired, is a dog we are so grateful to have in our lives, her puppies have gone on to complete the lives of many owners and quite a few have gone on to become working service dogs. We couldn’t help but keep her daughter, Primrose.
Why We Love Her
Josephine is much more than a dog. She’s everyone’s favorite. When she meets you, she gently puts her front paws on your chest and gazes into your eyes, as though she can read your soul.
She is a wizard at reading the energy in the room and seeks out the person she decides needs the most loving. While she is independent and has her own interests, she likes to keep tabs on the other dogs, making sure everyone is doing what they’re supposed to.
She has decided she’s very concerned about my lap getting cold and frequently nudges me to get my attention so I can make room for her to sit.
Although she’s pleasant and greets everyone who visits with warmth, she’s mostly in tune with me, as many poodles tend to choose that one person to be their main love.
Her puppies have gone on to be heart dogs, as they love their owners as Jojo loves me.
Her petite, yet formidable, size makes her the perfect dog for any activity, she can run with you or she can be carried. Her temperament is based on a heart of gold and we are so lucky to have her as our foundation female.
